If your income is affected by coronavirus, because your workplace has shut down, or because you’re sick or caretaking, the government will give you free money (unemployment insurance.) It is yours, you deserve it, the gov just gave $1.5 trillion as a capital injection like it’s no big deal; they could have given every American $4,870 for that amount, so really don’t feel bad about taking what you need.

Just to add: unemployment isn’t free money; it’s your money - you paid into it. You absolutely deserve it when you’re in need, because it was your money to begin with.
Yes this is correct! This is why you pay what you do, for times like these. You wouldn’t purchase a loaf of bread and then say “oh I can live without that bread, just leave it to rot.” IT’S YOURS.
Although there are some additional monies available out there outside of UI. Romney suggested that all American adults should get a $1,000 check and Trump actually seems pretty on board with getting those out to us ASAP.
Also, a lot of utilities have discounts for low-income people. You can get Amazon prime for $4.99, and you can use SNAP benefits on Amazon for food, Imperfect Produce had a discount as well.
And losing your insurance because your hours are decreases or you are laid off is considered a qualifying event, so you could possibly get gov’t healthcare.
